More Transparency, Better Decision Making

Did you ever have a question about how a district or school makes staffing decisions? The answer might be in your local teacher or administrator contracts.

Local teacher or administrator contracts significantly impact school and district staffing policies. That’s why, with your support in 2016, we redesigned and updated the Teacher and Administrator Contract Database, first launched in 2012.

By making this important information public and easily accessible, policy makers, school leaders, educators, parents, and advocates can examine and understand how contracts impact our state’s educators and students. This information can help improve staffing policies to recruit, support, retain, and recognize the effective teachers and leaders that our kids need and deserve.

You made it possible to launch our newly redesigned and updated Contract Database. From its relaunch on January 20, 2016 through the end of the year, 20,595 users viewed 104,600 pages on the Teacher Contract Database and 4,152 users viewed 24,494 pages on the Administrator Contract Database. In total, the Contract Database includes 308 contracts, 178 teachers contracts and 130 administrator contracts.
